Umodzi means “togetherness” and “fellowship” in Chichewa, the local language of Malawi. And this is exactly what we hope to achieve in this space - a coming together of people from around the world to enjoy a retreat by the famous “Lake of Stars.” With nearby access to the famous shores of Lake Malawi just 15 minutes north of Mangochi Town, our guesthouse is the perfect spot to unwind, explore and experience the sites and sounds of The Warm Heart of Africa.

The Main Guesthouse

A communal, family style building located adjacent to our community center amid lush, fruit bearing gardens. Each room sleeps up to 6 and is air conditioned with private bath and shower attached. Guests have access to a full kitchen, lounge and dining area. Catering and self-catering options available. Please message us below for rates and availability.

Private Summer Huts

Now open! Our 6 private summer huts offer visitors a more intimate stay. Great for couples, families, or small groups of travelling friends. Each summer hut features custom reed ceilings, AC, private bath and “khonde” (front porch/seating area).
