Our first ever girls retreat received a lovely write-up in the Malawi News as our girls gathered for an intimate overnight at Mangochi Police Cottage for a two day retreat featuring guest speakers, counseling workshops, dancing and lots of smiles!

MBC Malawi July 2021

Malawi broadcasting corporation covered the inauguration ceremony for our solar powered community center, The Kudziwa Center For Knowledge. The center hosts 300 children daily and is the first of its kind in Mangochi.

In the early months of the pandemic, RiseUp Malawi was one of the leaders in the COVID19 fight, mobilizing resources to distribute hand washing stations, pails, soap, sanitizer and face masks to the most vulnerable in the community.
