RiseUp Malawi Presents The Table Featuring Special Guest Masauko Chipembere
We shared a meal. Our children gained a future.
A February 2025 month long dry spell sent the rain dependent nation of Malawi barreling towards a major hunger crisis. On August 23rd, 2025, forty four change-makers gathered at our Table Fundraiser in Parker, CO and through an extraordinary act of generosity raised nearly $40,000USD to combat these cyclical hunger crises through solar pump installations. Guest speaker and performer Masauko Chipembere gave a shining performance and testimony to his late father and Malawi's great freedom fighter, Henry Masauko Chipembere. A huge thank you to our sponsors Taste of Soweto, Redemption Road Coffee, and Baobab Wines for curating such an intimate evening of African flavors alongside Masauko's musical storytelling.

The Umodzi Guesthouse. Rest with purpose.
On August 21, 2023, 88 players, 17 sponsors and countless volunteers came together to raise over $52,000 to complete our guesthouse build in Malawi. RiseUp is grateful for the players and sponsors who showed such remarkable generosity. Our guesthouse is part of our efforts to bring long-term, sustainable development to our community by building them an asset that they will take full ownership of and be able to generate in-country income in support of our after school and farming programs. This is a huge milestone for our organization, and one that we are very proud of.
