Become an ambassador for RiseUp Malawi and help us fundraise for our programs & projects! There are many different ways to fundraise. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Host a fundraiser on Facebook for your birthday. To learn more about how to host a fundraiser on Facebook click HERE. You’ll want to start fundraising two weeks before your birthday and set a goal you feel good about. We’ve seen almost every FB birthday fundraiser between $200-$500 reach their goal so this is a great platform. What’s more, Facebook does not take out any fees!
Host a fundraiser on Facebook for #GivingTuesday. Giving Tuesday falls on December 3rd, 2019. Please check back for our social media toolkit. Alternatively, you can fundraise by simply sharing our Giving Tuesday fundraiser link.
Word of mouth. One of the easiest ways to fundraise is to simply educate yourself on what we do and tell friends, family and co-workers about our mission to bring education to young Malawians. You can do this via e-mail and include our gifting link: www.riseupmalawi.org/giveagift.
Host a garage sale or in home dinner party. Get your friends to donate old items to a garage sale and advertise the sale on Nextdoor. Or, host a dinner party at your home in support of RiseUp and ask your guests to consider giving a gift.
